CityLoop celebrated its premiere at the ITB 2019!
CityLoop celebrated its premiere! The start-up run by entrepreneur Jörg Mayer presented the first ride-sharing service on the road for business travelers at ITB, the world’s largest tourism trade show, which took place in Berlin. The innovative business limousine service, focusing on medium-distance journeys, is following in the footsteps of scheduled services by acting as a travel agency, through which passengers can book reasonably priced seats in first-class limousines.
The circular routes, also known as “loops”, connect hotspots such as airports and large corporations and are serviced by selected, experienced limousine services multiple times a day, in accordance with a fixed schedule. Up to three travelers can be transported safely, comfortably, and conveniently at the same time. Passengers can get on and off at numerous stop zones along the route, such as hotels, cafés, corporations, and car parks. And once on board the first-class cars, business travelers can work as efficiently as they would in their own offices or simply enjoy a relaxing break.
CityLoop chose the ITB Business Travel Forum to host their company launch, introducing themselves to the public in hall 7.1a of the VDR (Germany’s business travel association)’s “Home of Business Travel” exhibition and at their own booth.
CityLoop founder Jörg Mayer launched the event by taking to the conference stage to deliver the opening day’s keynote speech. He focused on worldwide sharing concepts and their significance for businesses and business travelers. Over at the joint VDR booth in the CityLoop lounge, discussions with business travel managers from large corporations took center stage.
Across from them, at booth 300, ITB trade visitors were able to find out more about the Audi A8L, the model chosen by CityLoop, and its special service and convenience features. A CityLoop VIP shuttle to and from the exhibition grounds also gave customers a taste of the vehicle’s performance. CityLoop’s presence at the premiere was complemented by an all-glass TV production studio in which the Business Travel TV Studio team carried out a number of interviews with professional experts.
We would like to thank all visitors for their keen interest and extremely positive feedback! Naturally, we were thrilled to welcome prominent visitors from the worlds of politics, sports, and business to our Berlin premiere.
As announced, we will now concentrate all our efforts for the next several months on running trial operations on loops 1 & 2 (Frankfurt > Walldorf > Stuttgart). Stay tuned!
